I come from a traditional family in north India. I followed the conventions but also challenged them from time to time within family network; such as picking up a job in a non-government organisation or stepping into a city where I had no family or relatives for my further studies or my first job. I was supported throughout by my parents and a close set of friends. I noticed the stereotypes, norms and biases that exist not only around us but also within us. These hinder self-growth by limiting our world view and defining what we can and cannot achieve. Through my work I wanted to continue to challenge the norms and facilitate holistic self development. With the desire to create more meaning and impact through my work, I started my journey as a coach and consultant in August of 2018 after almost two decades in the corporate.
Early in my career, I spent time with three start-ups that familiarised me with change, ambiguity, importance of vision, processes, power play. I went to work with a leading professional service Big 4 form for more than a decade leading strategic change and culture offering for hi-performing, global teams for a set of diverse clients including Fortune 100, Indian conglomerates, Government of India and not for profit.
